Hi all!
Boy, this week has *flown* by! I've got so much on my plate these days, it's hard to keep up. Then again, I really wouldn't have it any other way. I've been extremely blessed in the last year and a half. I made up my mind to make life count and...so far, so good! I did my final set of corrections and sent Kirby's epub file back to my editor at Crimson - this is it! The pre-sale will be up on Amazon soon, followed by the official release on March 25th! Beyond that, I've got a new book floating around in my head that I'll be putting on paper soon. My band (Running Thoughts) has a show in April -our first since my sister/guitarist broke her knee last December - and I'm starting a new job that shows a lot of promise. I gotta say, I'm exhausted but insanely happy!
I'm currently booking a blog tour (or attempting to; who knew this was such a tedious task?) so if you're a writer or blogger looking for someone to guest on your space, please feel free to send me a message. I'd love to trade spots and even promote your site on the links page of my site! People are also asking me if I'm "throwing a release party". Now, while I'm all for a reason to get together, I have to ask - is this common in such a digital age? What do the tech savvy do nowadays? Do I have friends and supporters over, or do I have a Google hangout where people get to ask questions and generally talk about the book release (among other things)? Fellow writers, if you're reading... what have you done in the past or what do you plan to do when your book goes live?
In the meantime, I need to get a bit of sleep tonight - as it turns out, writing a chapter, practicing a Blink 182 cover, and promoting the book on less than five hours of sleep isn't a really good idea. (smile) But I'll be back, and I'm thinking I'll post a little more promotional material for 'Kirby'. Have a great night!
